Delete WhatsApp template

Delete a template from Meta, locally, or both.

Endpoint: POST https://<base>/api/v2/DeleteWhatsappTemplate.php

Deletes a WhatsApp template. You choose where the deletion is propagated:

• meta_only (default) — calls DELETE on the Meta Graph API and marks the local row cwt_status='DELETED', but keeps the row for history.
• local_only — removes the row from cc_wa_templates only. Use this when the template is not yet on Meta or you want to start over.
• both — deletes on Meta and removes the row locally.

A deletion record is added to cc_wa_template_sends.

Token authentication required. See Authentication.

Request

tsid — type: string — required

Token for the account.

template_id — type: integer — required

Local id of the template (cc_wa_templates.cwt_id).

v8l_id — type: integer — required

ID of the WhatsApp line.

delete_mode — type: string — default: meta_only

Where to apply the deletion. One of meta_only, local_only, both.

Error codes

Code	status	Cause
230	No template_id	Missing or non-numeric template_id.
233	No API key	Line is missing the Meta access token.
234	No Business ID	Line is missing the Meta business id.
235	Linha WhatsApp not found	Line is missing, inactive, or wrong customer.
236	No v8l_id	Missing or non-numeric v8l_id.
238	Template not found	template_id does not belong to the customer/line.
239	Template not yet sent to Meta	Cannot use meta_only / both because cwt_template_id is empty. Use local_only.
260	Meta API delete error	Meta rejected the delete; the upstream message is in result.error_message.
270	Error deleting local template	Database error after Meta deletion succeeded.
